New Beginnings: Finding Balance in the Quiet

This week marked a significant milestone for our family—our three boys officially started school! It's hard to believe that my youngest is now in pre-k, leaving me with no more babies at home 🥹

The house feels a little quieter, and the transition has been bittersweet. While I miss the hustle and bustle of having little ones underfoot all day, I'm incredibly excited for this new journey they're embarking on. Watching them get out of the car with big smiles and backpacks too large for their small frames tugged at my heartstrings, but it also filled me with pride.

With all three boys in school, I've been adjusting to a new routine. It's given me the space to focus more on my photography and baking, two passions that have always been close to my heart. Balancing the two has been an exciting challenge. I’ve found that having a quiet house during the day allows me to dive into editing photos and experimenting with new recipes without interruptions.

This week, I spent some time planning my fall mini sessions, which I’m really looking forward to. I’ve also enjoyed a couple of peaceful mornings baking bread and scones, embracing the stillness that comes with this new phase of life.

While it’s been a week of adjustments, it’s also been a week of growth. I’m learning to navigate this new chapter, savoring the moments I have to pursue my creative passions, and cherishing the time I spend with my boys when they come home from school full of stories and excitement. Here’s to new beginnings and finding balance in the beautiful chaos of life!
